It seems that everyone is interested in GPS car navigation systems these days. A total sense! GPS devices can tell where you are and give you turn-by-turn directions to tell how to get where you want to go anywhere in the United States, Canada, Europe and Mexico.
Plus are equipped with all kinds of features. And that is where the problem is for those who want to buy one.
There are basically too many manufacturers who make products with too many things too.
Buying a GPS car navigation wanted to do a Masters in Engineering.
Well, if you give me a few minutes of your time, I can reduce the confusion for a couple of things should be taken into account in order to locate the GPS for you and your budget.
At first, there are three main manufacturers of GPS, Garmin, Tom Tom and Magellan. Garmin is the big dog in the area, sells about 70% of all GPS devices. Tom Tom is a newcomer, but took a lot of market share with excellent products at great prices. While Magellan is the larger companies, but not to be outdone in the Features department.
There are other manufacturers, but personally I prefer to stay with the winners of the sector.
As for what these things have a base to see the first film.
All GPS units can do the following:
  * You know where you are and how to get where you're going to voice instructions
  * Access to a vast database pre-programmed destinations (called Points of Interest or POI)
  * Interface with the user through a touch screen and an icon-based operating system
  * Auto-calculate either the shortest or fastest
If this is all you need to do so for about $ 150, you can get all this and more. Things like digital picture viewing skills and the ability of audio books are mostly standard features.
If you want to spend more, however, look at what all you can get!
  * Bluetooth hands-free calls
  * FM transmission, so you can hear your phone system through your car stereo
  * Detailed maps, Canada, Europe, Mexico
  * Real-time weather and traffic (usually via subscription)
And there's more!
Higher up the price of what each company offers really starts to differentiate.
What should you do now is to mount an information website where you can actually see the device, see exactly what their characteristics are, and check their prices.
